Śluza Eibach do góry 19.5 m. Ustaliliśmy, że my staniemy prawą, a Yorikke lewą burta. Yorikke szybko zacumowała do nas, jednak to trochę trwało. W tym czasie śluzę zamknięto i błyskawicznie napełniano. Pierwszy metr to był skok do góry . Strasznie wzburzona woda, mięliśmy problem z dociągnięciem jachtu by wymienić polery. Hak został pod woda, zresztą cumy też. Elke z Yorikke wskoczyła na nasz pokład by nam pomóc.

Bez ruchomych polerów byłaby to ciężka robota.

EN

On July 22nd we went out before 8 am. Mika was before in the shop to buy fresh bread and rolls. At the first lock in Nurnberg we waited a while, we went through without any problems, together with the passenger ship, a small white fleet one. On the other lock we waited over an hour. Eibach Lock up 19.5 m. We entered behind a large barge. Mobile bollards were under reparation. Elke received information that can be berthed on both sides of the lock. We agreed that we will stay on the right and Yorikke on left side. After entering the lock, it turned out that there are no bollards on the left side. Yorikke quickly moored to us, but it took a while. At that time, the lock was instantly closed and started to fill. The first meter was like a jump up. Terribly agitated water, we had a problem with tightening the boat to the bollards. Hook stayed under water, and mooring lines too. Elke from Yorikke jumped on our board to help us. We handled the situations. We managed to take of the ropes, hook, however, we lost, I cut the line that was with it.

The next locks were 24.6 meter up- Leerstetten, Eckermuhlen and Hilpotstein. We followed the same barge. Jorn asked the captain of that boat not to go too fast, so we can keep up with them. Following the barge makes it a lot quicker to enter the locks, you don’t wait at all. The rest lock we went through without any problems, mooring to the mobile bollards and that is where our job ended, sometimes it was necessary to repel the stern or bow. We went up very quickly and water in the lock was very agitated. Without mobile bollards it would be a hard work.

Hilpotstein Lock was the last one up, we went to a height of about 400 meters above the sea level. Now only down. 15 minutes after leaving the lock we crossed the European Drainage Divide of waters of the Rhine and the Danube river. We did 2 locks more this day - down 17 meters each. It was easy with mobile bollards, probably it will be like this until the end of the channel, we hope.

To the marina Beilngries we arrived by late evening. As usual, there was some problem with the entry, because it was too shallow, but with the help of marina people and Yorikke crew we finally moored.
